More data collected. On a Saturday nonetheless.

As the swarm of 3-4 year olds buzzed around the ball this morning at my daughters soccer practice I noted three things:

  1. not all bee's are equally agressive
  2. the importance of a good "game face"
  3. my daughter's elbows are significantly more devastating than mine

The variation in agressiveness will work to my advantage as "Matt" notes in his thesis. I agree the best plan is to attack the "heros" first. Once the wasps are neutralized the sting of the remaining bees will be just that...a sting. Ahh the "game face". My goodness. It wasn't the daughter playing soccer that caught my eye although I'm sure that one has the best soccer game face west of the Mississippi. It was my other daughter busy catching rollie pollie bugs that had the kinda game face i'm looking to implement. Killer if you know what I mean. I've always speculated that intimidation was an under valued and under developed skill. Looks like the daily game face drills before breakfast are starting to pay dividends. I will use this knowledge to my advantage when the time comes. The third observation is sort of a wildcard as kids today are learning new creative ways to dominate. The elbows I saw thrown today were impressive and quite effective against even her own teamates and the larger 4 year old boys (don't let the dress or the dandilion fool ya). Afterall she was the only one who scored in a 1-0 thriller. I will start interviewing my girls for more insight. With a clear understanding and ability to harness the the power of the female toddler I may be able to increase my quota by 2-3. Wahooo.
