Queen Bees & Wannabes

So i've been reading this book for almost 11 months now (yes I'm a slow reader). The full title "Queen Bees and Wannabes: Helping Your Daughter Survive Cliques, Gossip, Boyfriends, and Other Realities of Adolescence" gives you a good enough reason as to why it sits on my nightstand (that and Dr. Phil's glowing recommendation). There's the Queen: total bitch, the Banker: bitch, the sidekick: bitch, the wannbes: whinny bitches, and various other bitch ridden roles. Even the parents have roles and if the mom is a bitch the more likely the daughter will be a bitch...dads too. This is the world my daughters will be forced to enter and their mastery of and verbal agility to manipulate, pry, test, pseudo reject, pseudo seduce, flirt and persuade all will come to a head in 2012 for me. The girlie world is so foreign I'll try my best to influence my girls to be what I call "platform jumpers". The platform jumper is one that can easily drift in and out of cliques without getting sucked in and bitchafied. This may be too ambitious thus my fall back plan is simple...wait until the boys are 12 and then kick as many of their asses as possible. Call it a preventive strike.
